NWICA serves residents in our Lake, Porter, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski and Starke Counties. They provide services for older adults, families and those with physical disabilities, as well as, at risk of nursing home placement.

Their goal is to provide a simple way for individuals to access information and get assistance for their long term needs.

Since our inception in 1977, our Mission is to deliver nutritious meals to those in need with the support of community volunteers. Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana operates a state of the art kitchen facility located in Merrillville, Indiana. Our Meal Delivery Service is an easy and affordable way to manage your nutritional needs. We look forward to serving you!

Because of generous donations from our community, we are able to keep the cost of our meals affordable for those who are on a fixed income and on limited budgets. Government and other types of assistance may be available for those unable to pay for the full cost of the meal. Please contact our office for more information.

VeteranAid.org

 

VeteranAid.org was created to provide information, free of charge, to veterans, their spouses and families.

​

The Veteran’s Administration offers the Aid and Attendance as part of an “Improved Pension” benefit that is largely unknown and is available both to the veteran and their spouse.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana (ALZNI) was founded in 1982 and serves 11 counties in Northern Indiana with a broad spectrum of services to help patients, families and caregivers who are facing the challenges imposed by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

ALZNI depends on donations to continue and expand its free programming for families and caregivers and is grateful for the support of the community we serve.  All donations are used for local programs to help families and caregivers – now when the need is great, here in the community where we live.  No funds are sent to national organizations.
